Seriously. Should You Be Using The Consumer Rated Best Facial Moisturizer?

Sunday, February 28th, 2010

There are so many people who look for consumer ratings before they buy a product. Why not get an unbiased consumer view before you purchase?

So you\’d think it makes sense to look for consumer ratings and there are plenty of women who look for consumer ratings of skin care products and especially consumer rated best facial moisturizer.

And why not?

But lets think carefully about whether it is in fact a good approach. Skin care products can be difficult to rate successfully.

If you were rating a toy for child as an example you could rate it reasonably objectively. Does it work? Does the child play with it and like it? Is it good value? Does it break? Easy.

But how about rating skin care products like facial moisturizers? Not so easy. Because the result you get may be entirely different from the result that someone else gets from the same product.

The reason is that the result you get is really entirely subjective. You may think you have an improvement, someone else may see the exact same result as no improvement.

So I don\’t agree with looking for consumer ratings of skin care products, and in fact I don\’t even know of somewhere you can find a solid reliable database of consumer ratings of skin care products like facial moisturizers.

Rather I prefer to rely on a different approach. Try the products yourself and if you don\’t think they are working for you then get your money back.

Impossible you say? Well if you buy the big brand name skin care products you may have a distinct lack of success trying to get your money back because you think they\’ve done nothing for your skin.

Not likely.

On the other hand I believe that any company that markets any product should believe so firmly in the effectiveness of their product that they are happy to offer a money back guarantee to anyone who doesn\’t like it.

Fortunately the company that makes what I believe to be the best skin care products in the world does, in fact, believe so strongly in their products that they DO offer a MONEY BACK GUARANTEE.

So you can try their products and get your money back if you don\’t like them.

Now that\’s confidence in your product, and they have good reason. And they rarely have to give a customers money back.

So it\’s quite possible to try the products entirely risk free, and see how well they work for you.

And you may be looking for a moisturizer, but they don\’t sell one. Because if you use their skincare products then you won\’t need one, because their skin care products moisturize so well you won\’t need one.

So if you\’ve been looking for some consumer ratings of facial moisturizers don\’t bother, you\’re unlikely to get much good information from them. Rather try the best skincare products for yourself, risk free, and see how well they work for you, and how well they moisturize.

Head over to my website to see where you get them.

Increasing Skin Elasticity Is Essential To Great Skin Care.

Wednesday, February 17th, 2010

As you age your skin starts to lose elasticity, and sadly, skin elasticity is one of the most important factors in good skin care. For this reason so many people search for answers like pills to put elasticity back in skin, like collagen pills.

Does taking vitamins for skin elasticity or collagen supplements or cremes really work? And what other avenues do you have?

Why not examine what skin elasticity is and what your options are to improve it as you age.

You may have heard of collagen and elastin. Both of these are essential skin proteins that make up a large part of your skin. And both elastin and collagen are important factors in keeping your skin healthy and supple. Healthy supple skin makes for good looking wrinkle free skin.

But with age the stores of collagen and elastin decline and this increases the risk of wrinkles.

(And there\’s other factors too, like sun damage and smoking, both of which are terrible for your skin.)

As your skin loses elasticity it starts to say, it doesn\’t pull into place like it did when you were younger.

So the obvious answer to increasing skin elasticity would seem to be increasing collagen and elastin in our skin as we age.

Youve probably seen many anti aging skin care products containing collagen and elastin on the shelves. Its quite common now to see this. Unfortunately though, this doesn\’t replenish the stores of collagen and elastin in your skin. Why? Because the molecules of collagen and elastin are too large to enter the skin. This has been known for some time.

So why are they in the bottles if they don\’t really do anything? Because the companies know that consumers will buy them if they see them on the label.

And as well it has never been conclusively established that taking vitamins to increase skin elasticity does so, or that collagen supplements do so.

But fortunately we have some extremely smart scientists and some of them have found a way to do so. Rather than taking collagen pills or products containing elastin and collagen they have actually found a way for increasing skin elasticity by regrowing more of its own collagen and elastin.

Its done by use of a breakthrough new product called Cynergy TK, and the trial results have been impressive indeed. Results are visible in a relatively short time, including reduction in visible wrinkles.

Sadly, Cynergy TK is very expensive, and so isn\’t found in most skin care products. Most of the big brands spend the majority of their budget on advertising, and not so much on product quality.

But there is one niche skin care company that reverses this and spends it\’s budget on product quality and not on advertising, so you\’ll never have heard of them. They do use Cynergy TK in their products.

So increasing skin elasticity is quite possible, and is being done by many women right now, though not through collagen supplements or creams containing collagen and elastin, but by using a breakthough product that actually stimulates the skin to grow more of its own.

Functional Keratin And Skin Care Explained.

Sunday, February 14th, 2010

If you\’ve spent any time reading about skin health and skin care you\’ll start reading about keratin pretty soon. What is it?

You can find keratin in many parts of our bodies. It is a very strong protein that can be found in parts of our bodies like our hair and nails, and our skin.

Keratin is formed by cells called keratinocytes and is found mainly in the epidermis of our skin, and they will slowly make their way to the surface of the skin where they form a protective layer of dead skin cells which are slowly lost over time.

Keratin has some vital roles in maintaining the function of our skin. It produces some waterproofing qualities, for example. But the main function of keratin in our skin is to promote skin strength and elasticity.

Both of these are essential to skin health, but as we age our store of skin keratin reduces so the strength and elasticity of our skin reduces.

So it must be good to use skin care products that contain keratin to replace our skin\’s stores of keratin? No.

The reason is that the process used to produce the keratin found in mainstream skin care products is a process using heat and acid, and this \”denaturalizes\” the keratin into a form that is of no use to the skin.

Now what is functional keratin? It is a form of keratin that has been extracted using a different process other than heat and acid and so isn\’t denaturalized. It comes from the wool of sheep and is functional in the sense that it is still in a form that is of use to our skin.

Making functional keratin has been perfected only recently by one small company that has now patented the process, and this company has created a product called Cynergy TK that contains this functional keratin. Cynergy TK is now an primary ingredient in the worlds best skin care products.

Studies on the results that use of Cynergy TK can produce have been impressive with visible results within a short time, a reduction in wrinkles and fine lines and an improvement in the complexion.

Cynergy TK is very expensive, though the products using Cynergy TK are not highly priced for one particular reason. The big brand skin care products (which dont use Cynergy TK as its too expensive) spend up big on TV advertising, so have to load up the price of their products to pay for this.

The price of big brand skincare products has to reflect the cost of the advertising.

I hope that\’s enlightened you somewhat about what keratin is and what it does for the skin, and what functional keratin is.

Find out more about Cynergy TK at my website.

There\’s 2 factors that are huge in contributing to skin deterioration. Smoking and sunburn. Whatever you need to do just don\’t do these. Both take a huge toll on your skin condition.

It\’s totally true, like you\’ve probably heard, that many big name skin care products do little and cost way too much. But don\’t throw the baby out with the bathwater. Science really does know a lot about keeping skin healthy, and there are excellent and reasonably priced natural skin care products that really do work extremely well. What Is A Natural SPF Moisturizer?

Sunday, January 31st, 2010

Out of all the good things you can do for your skin, one of the best doesn\’t involve using skin care products. It\’s to avoid sunburn.

Sunburn is one of the worst things you can do for your skin. Just terrible. So then you\’d assume that using a moisturizer with SPF has to be good.

Sadly there\’s good reasons to avoid a moisturizer with SPF, except that you can get a natural SPF moisturizer.

So why shouldn\’t you use a traditional moisturizer with SPF? There\’s 2 reasons.

The first problem is that there are experts who believe that the long term use of sunscreens can be dangerous and there is even the risk of cancer.

The second problem is this. If you\’re worried about sunburn because you\’re going out in the sun this afternoon you apply your sunscreen for this afternoon, say 4 or 5 hours. So any potentially harmful chemicals are applied to your skin for 4 or 5 hours, today.

But if you use a SPF moisturizer you\’re wearing potentially dangerous sunscreen every single day of the year. Most you don\’t need it.

You can see a problem here I\’m sure. You\’re taking a risk with your health when you don\’t need to. You can wear a sunscreen only on days you need it, not every day.

And there is also evidence that long term use of sunscreen can lead to vitamin D deficiency.

And it\’s even possible to find natural SPF moisturizers that provide some sun protection from the effects of natural ingredients that happen to have some natural UV protective qualities with no chemical sunscreen.

Now this protection isn\’t as strong as a chemical SPF factor, but is worth having if you\’re convinced, like us, that you really don\’t need a strong sunscreen in your moisturizer, that a natural moisturizer with spf from the ingredients is sufficient.

One of the best single ingredients ever put into skin care products is called Phytessence Wakame. It\’s made from a seaweed found in Japan and it\’s use in natural skin care products produces the worlds best skin care products. And Phytessence Wakame has some natural UV protection, (and moisturizes very well).

So in my opinion you should avoid sunscreens in moisturizers, you don\’t need them moist days. And you should choose natural skin care products that moisturize extremely effectively and also don\’t offer any risks of cancer from chemical ingredients. Avoid a risk you don\’t need to take.

Just use sunscreen on days when you\’re going to be out in the sun and will need it. And not only do you get the worlds best skin care products you also get
