Exercise Your Bruises Will Fade Faster And Not Come Back!

Thursday, March 4th, 2010

Injuring yourself through the course of a day or week is not rare – we\’ve all walked into coffee table or given ourselves a paper cut. Bruises, also known as contusions, result when the blood vessels have ruptured usually due to blunt force and for some it doesn\’t take much. These purplish marks are embarrassing dependent on their location and can be quite painful through the healing process, but must of us don\’t seem to worry too much when we get a bruise.

Growing up, we put our bodies through a lot of physical tests and these rarely result in bruising. This is because our metabolisms are active and high and our bodies are constantly growing making the need to be able to heal a wound quickly especially important. This can change, either from medications like Coumadin which act as blood thinners and weaken vessel walls, or our diets are lacking an important nutrient. Also, as we advance in age our bodies weaken, our skin becomes thinner and the components of our circulatory system start to buckle.

Not getting enough iron in our bodies or not ingesting enough vitamins, such as C and K can all contribute to an overall weakening of the body. If you do bruise abnormally often, it\’s smart to sit down with your doctor to rule out any illnesses or to find out with finality that it is just your lack of nutrition that is making you feel like a human polka dot.

Once you\’ve gone over all of the medical reasons that you may be bruising more and you\’ve found out that you\’re absolutely normal, it\’s time to start thinking about exercise. Exercise and activity isn\’t just for weight loss, it\’s a lifestyle component that many of us lack in our 9-5 cubicle dwelling lives. Starting out, a low impact exercise regimen can begin to get your body used to moving without stressing your joints. The results will be increased hand-eye coordination, which can translate to being savvy enough not to walk into things, as well as kick-starting your metabolism.

Low-impact exercises don\’t demand too much from you and they\’re easy to incorporate into your life, be it a walk in the park or swimming in a pool. Water exercises are especially good because your joints are cushioned and the water itself acts as a natural resistance to any movement.

After completing gate-way exercise in the form of low impact activity, you may want to increase how much you move and segue into harder exercise, also known as aerobic workouts. Aerobic exercise increases your heartbeat and pushes your body to use the available fuel that it has. Another aspect is that this form of exercise can be fun because playing sports, or participating in marathons will have you surrounded by others who are committed to being healthy and in shape.

What\’s the main thing about exercise that will reduce bruising? By strengthening your muscles you are also strengthening your cardiovascular system. A stronger heart means stronger capillaries and blood vessel walls making it harder for any sort of pressure on your skin to result in a bruise.

A good exercise program can decrease your bruising and will benefit your life in more ways that you haven\’t even thought of yet!

Discover how exercise can reduce bruising you experience. With several methods to prevent bruising that will help you in stopping those problems. Head online now and learn more.

Five Myths About Caring for Acne-prone Skin

Tuesday, March 2nd, 2010

Many teens and adults are under the misconception that the best thing to do for acne-prone skin is to keep it as dry as possible. Not only is this not true, it could lead to worse skin problems.

One of the best things you can do for your face if you have breakouts is to keep it moisturized using a natural product that will keep your skin balanced without clogging pours. It\’s this fear of clogging your pores that keeps so many people from using moisturizer on their skin. Look for the word \”noncomedogenic,\” which means it won\’t clog pore.

Here are some other common skin care myths:

—Using rubbing alcohol on your skin will kill the bacteria that causes acne and improve your complexion. Applying rubbing alcohol on your skin not only won\’t help you eliminate acne, it can cause skin irritations that increase your acne.

—The sun will help clear up your skin. If you go out and bake in the sun, you\’re going to perspire—and that can lead to more acne. While people continue to claim the sun helps their skin, there is no scientific proof of this, and there certainly is proof that too much sun causes other problems, including skin cancer. If you are using skin care products with retinol, a common ingredient in topical acne moisturizers, it is even more important that you also use a sunblock to protect your skin because the use of retinols increases your skin\’s sensitivity to the sun\’s harmful rays.

—The more you wash your face, the better. Actually, you should probably limit your face-washing to twice a day. The only time you should wash your face more is if you perspire. Use a gentle cleanser, one made specifically for acne-prone skin when possible.

—Scrubbing your skin with a washcloth or sponge will help get rid of acne faster. The last thing you want to do if you have acne is irritate your skin more. Wash your face gently using only your fingertips. Never scrub.

—Use the hottest water you can tolerate because hot water opens pores. Acne-prone skin is delicate, so you should treat it that way. Warm water, gentle cleansers, no scrubbing. The less irritated your skin, the better.

When you have acne, you simply want it to be gone. Good skin care and skin care products can go a long way toward helping you have clear skin. Start reading labels, and if something doesn\’t work for you, try something else. Avoid any product that has alcohol in it or that is laden with chemicals.

How to Have Young Skin Even when You\’re Getting Old(er)

Tuesday, March 2nd, 2010

As you age, your skin undergoes some basic changes, including wrinkling and loosening that can result in you looking older than you\’d like. You don\’t have to sit back and let it happen. You\’re never too old to start caring for your skin the right way.

While some aging is hereditary, today\’s skincare products can go a long way toward making aging skin look as young as possible.

Here are some tips to follow if you want your skin to look as young as you feel:

—Wear sunscreen. If you are of a certain age, chances are, you didn\’t grow up wearing UV-blocking lotions, and your skin probably suffered for it. But it\’s not too late to start using sunscreen. Sunscreen doesn\’t only prevent sun burns, it also can reduce the number of age spots that appear on your skin, as well as protect your skin from developing wrinkles. And, don\’t forget that sunscreen is one of the best ways to prevent skin cancer. Look for products that have at least an SPF of 30, and offer \”broad-spectrum protection.\”

—Most women find a product when they are in their 20s and 30s and continue to use it their entire life. But products made for young skin aren\’t necessarily the best products for more mature skin. Mature skin needs gentle, natural products that don\’t contain alcohol or other drying ingredients.

—As we age, skin needs to replenish ingredients that are in shorter supply naturally in our bodies. Good creams and lotions help renew skin, giving it a more youthful appearance. Look for products with alpha hydroxy acid, which can help gently slough off outer layers of skin, leaving your face looking fresher.

—Those dreaded wrinkles cannot be held at bay forever, which is why it\’s important to use products that reduce the appearance of lines. Skin care companies are constantly improving their products, dramatically improving the wrinkle-reducing effects as compared to just a few years ago.

—Moisturize. Just because you\’re getting older doesn\’t mean your skin doesn\’t need some major pampering. In fact, older skin often has less oil production, so it\’s even more important to moisturize.

Many older women are being more proactive about their skin care, and are fighting the effects of aging by taking care of their skin. Aging Baby Boomers are demanding more and better products and the industry is responding.

Tips To Avoid Getting Bad Plastic Surgery

Sunday, February 28th, 2010

We have heard so many tragic stories from people having painful experiences while receiving plastic surgery. These are very awful stories to find out.

Medical professionals are expected to follow the measures but as we all know in every industry there are always good ones and bad ones. Thus patients are expected to take responsibilities for themselves as well. Patients must recognize what are the things they should be looking at before getting any surgery. Below are some of the tips you can focus on before undergoing a plastic surgery.

1. Choose a accredited professional. It is very important that you make sure that the professional who will handle your surgery is a certified one and is specializing in the procedure you are seeking. This gives you the assurance that the doctor has received appropriate training and necessary skills.

2. Define your objectives clearly. When planning to go for a plastic or cosmetic surgery you have to set what your desired results are and examine carefully if these are attainable. This will give you a clear picture of what to expect once the surgery is over and thus avoid dissatisfactions.

3. Make sure your in good shape. To get optimum results, your body must be in good condition. As the processes always involve minor operations, you will be able to bounce back quicker if your body responds well.

4. Don\’t expose yourself to toxins. Before and after undergoing any cosmetic or plastic surgery you have to stop exposing yourself from damaging toxins that can affect the outcome of the process you are receiving. Smoking and drinking alcohol are some of the activities that can cause complications and impede the result of your surgery.

5. Investigate. It is best that you ask your doctor for cases of surgeries that he has already completed which are related to the operation you desire to undertake. If your doctor is confident enough, he will be more than willing to show and tell you about his experiences.

6. Check the prices. This step is . You have to have an idea of the cost of the procedure you want to get. First of all you will be able to gauge if the procedure is within your budget. Second, you will be able to compare the prices among the clinics providing the procedure you want. You have to think twice about taking very cheap surgeries as these maybe inidicating the competency level of the doctor who will handle the operations.

7. Study. Study the risks that come with the procedure you desire to take. As you know yourself better, you know your limitations and you know how much pain you can take.

For now, all the best to your plastic or cosmetic surgery endeavors.

Seriously. Should You Be Using The Consumer Rated Best Facial Moisturizer?

Sunday, February 28th, 2010

There are so many people who look for consumer ratings before they buy a product. Why not get an unbiased consumer view before you purchase?

So you\’d think it makes sense to look for consumer ratings and there are plenty of women who look for consumer ratings of skin care products and especially consumer rated best facial moisturizer.

And why not?

But lets think carefully about whether it is in fact a good approach. Skin care products can be difficult to rate successfully.

If you were rating a toy for child as an example you could rate it reasonably objectively. Does it work? Does the child play with it and like it? Is it good value? Does it break? Easy.

But how about rating skin care products like facial moisturizers? Not so easy. Because the result you get may be entirely different from the result that someone else gets from the same product.

The reason is that the result you get is really entirely subjective. You may think you have an improvement, someone else may see the exact same result as no improvement.

So I don\’t agree with looking for consumer ratings of skin care products, and in fact I don\’t even know of somewhere you can find a solid reliable database of consumer ratings of skin care products like facial moisturizers.

Rather I prefer to rely on a different approach. Try the products yourself and if you don\’t think they are working for you then get your money back.

Impossible you say? Well if you buy the big brand name skin care products you may have a distinct lack of success trying to get your money back because you think they\’ve done nothing for your skin.

Not likely.

On the other hand I believe that any company that markets any product should believe so firmly in the effectiveness of their product that they are happy to offer a money back guarantee to anyone who doesn\’t like it.

Fortunately the company that makes what I believe to be the best skin care products in the world does, in fact, believe so strongly in their products that they DO offer a MONEY BACK GUARANTEE.

So you can try their products and get your money back if you don\’t like them.

Now that\’s confidence in your product, and they have good reason. And they rarely have to give a customers money back.

So it\’s quite possible to try the products entirely risk free, and see how well they work for you.

And you may be looking for a moisturizer, but they don\’t sell one. Because if you use their skincare products then you won\’t need one, because their skin care products moisturize so well you won\’t need one.

So if you\’ve been looking for some consumer ratings of facial moisturizers don\’t bother, you\’re unlikely to get much good information from them. Rather try the best skincare products for yourself, risk free, and see how well they work for you, and how well they moisturize.

Head over to my website to see where you get them.
