Health And Finance In Dreams

Wednesday, May 19th, 2010

A main concern we’re all very much aware of is our hope to be physically fit to be able to rely on our stamina and energy to work and work effectively. In dreams, symbols of work are any object, person or tool that resembles connections to work, our attitudes, job satisfaction, concerns, job security, salary increases and well being to work.

A man I know had the following dream. At the time of the dream, he was in good health, a professional earning 100K a year. His life was good; that is, until the night he had a dream that ultimately would change his life forever.

The dream opens with the man walking on a sidewalk near his apartment. This was the regular path he’d walked for years. Turning the corner up the block towards his apartment, he was compelled to look down at his hands. Holding his hands up, he saw his hands quickly begin to take on a different appearance: His hands began to tighten into a fist. As his hands continued to close, they took on a crippled, disfigured look.

Alarmed, he tried to straighten them. Unable to move his fingers, he put his hands into the pockets of the sweat suit he was wearing thinking everything would be all right shortly. As he placed his hands into the pockets of the sweat suit, he realized there were no pockets, only openings. Placing his hands into the openings, he walked down the sidewalk for 20 feet. Having difficulty composing himself, he took his hands out of the openings hoping they would be normal. To his dismay, his hands were now deformed, and he felt severe pain shooting down his wrists through his hands up to his fingertips.

Becoming alarmed, he stared focused on his hands. The harder he tried to focus, the more blurred his vision became until he couldn’t see the image of his hands. As he tried to adjust his vision, he now felt a sharp pain in his forehead that nearly sent him to his knees. Overtaken by the experience, the man stopped, sitting down on some leaves under a tree on the front lawn of a neighbor’s house. As he began to close his eyes, he felt a gentle breeze blowing the leaves away from him and across the lawn.

On the verge of terror, he reached into the opening of his sweat pants, grabbed a hold of his wallet containing his driver’s license, money and medical insurance card in the event his condition worsened. Opening the wallet, he found the wallet empty, holding only a medical insurance card. Fumbling with the wallet, he was able to pull out the insurance card. With blurred vision, he read the word “Cobra” on the card. Cobra insurance is the medical insurance provided by employers that goes into effect when one becomes disabled. Holding the card, he watched the card slowly completely disappear in his hand.

After minutes passed taking long, deep breaths, the man opened his eyes relieved to find that his hands were normal, vision clear and the pain in his forehead had gone.

Again on his feet, he glanced at his expensive sweat suit to find it had changed into frayed, dirty clothing covered with holes. Very pleased to physically be feeling better, the man briskly walked toward his apartment. Now at his apartment, he looked down and saw that the sweat suit was again beautiful, new and clean. Reaching for the door of his apartment complex, the man awoke.

The Interpretation Of The Dream Using Each Key Word Walking/Sidewalk in the beginning of the dream represents stability, financial security, success and harmony in the man’s family and workplace. This is a lifestyle of safety, consistency, routine and control over his life and environment.

Older Apartment represents a temporary refuge. Taking into consideration the other events occurring in the dream, the man’s apartment represents change, the unknown, place of waiting, failing health and possible death.

Hands/Crippled/Disfigured Hands represent our ability to work, sustain and provide for ourselves and family. When the man saw his hands change to crippled/disfigured ones represented failing health and financial distress. Watching his hands change from normal hands to disfigured hands represents change in his life and lifestyle will come suddenly and without warning.

Pockets/No Pockets suddenly realizing the sweat shirt had no pockets, but only openings where the pockets had been. He slowly placed his hands into the openings represents he will ignore symptoms of illnesses. Having no pockets also carries the dream meaning that though the man will have some health insurance, his current insurance will not last through the time of illness.

Severe Pain/Forehead/Knees Pain deep in the man’s forehead represented a physical problem, confusion, disbelief and helplessness he felt seeing changes to his body. Years later, he would be told the forehead pain was caused by a benign tumor near his brain; and that over time, if not removed, may cause blindness and death. As the man stared down at his hands, he felt his knees go weak, yet managed to regain his balance. The weakness in his knees represented that though the mind is strong, the body will no longer function as it once had; his hands, other parts of his body and finances will be affected.

Stared/Blurred Vision Fully aware of what was happening to his hands, he began to watch his hands change represents his entire life will be put on hold; his life and level of physical energy will be controlled by what is shown in the dream.

Sat Down/Neighbor’s House/Tree Too weak to stand, the man sits down under a tree near leaves on his neighbor’s lawn. Before closing his eyes, he feels a gentle wind blowing the leaves across the lawn away from him. The tree/leaves represent change. In this dream, the wind represents that most of his material possessions will be taken from him due to illness.

Expensive/Sweat suit/Frayed, Dirty, Holes The expensive sweat suit represents the man’s standard of living. The sweat suit turning frayed and dirty with holes represents the trials and financial hardships he will be suffering as a result of illness.

Wallet/Driver’s License, Money/Medical Insurance Card The man took out his wallet finding his driver’s license and money gone. In the wallet was only his medical insurance card, turning into a Cobra insurance card. The card slowly disappeared representing his medical insurance wouldn’t last for the term of his illnesses. The missing driver’s license represented the man’s identity and self worth would be shattered. The missing money represented suffering financial losses illness would cause him.

Beautiful/Clean/Looking New Unlocking the door of his apartment, he saw his hands healed and the sweat suit again clean and new. This represented that despite health problems, eventually his life would be restored to normal.

The Outcome Of The Dream: Months after having this dream, the man was diagnosed with chronic bilateral carpal tunnel. He had collected unemployment. After a year, he was told his Cobra insurance would end, no longer covering expenses for doctor bills or prescriptions.

Despondent, the day his Cobra insurance ran out, he remembered he was a Vietnam veteran. He immediately went down to the VA Hospital inquiring about eligibility benefits. Within hours, he was approved and VA started covering all his medical expenses.

In regards to the man’s eyesight and the pain in the forehead, doctors at the VA Hospital discovered a tumor between his eyes. Without treatment, blindness and death would likely occur. He was informed of a new research drug that had just been approved; it slows the growth of tumors stabilizing eyesight. In 2005, the VA Hospital excised the tumor.

As of this date, his eyesight is good and he is in fine health. The material belongings the man lost after having the dream have been replenished. The very day his UE benefits ran out, he qualified for Social Security disability benefits, obtaining an unexpected back benefits check for $22K. The dream the man had experienced years earlier had accurately and completely revealed his future, just as he had seen it play in the dream. The Benefits Of A Vegetarian Meal To Our Body

Monday, May 17th, 2010

Many people suggest that a vegetarian diet is not nutritionally sound. This is because they are referring to vegetarian diets that are poorly planned out. When a vegetarian or vegan diet is properly structured, there are health advantages to following this diet. This article will outline the three nutritional advantages to vegetarianism.

First, a vegetarian diet is healthier for your heart. Your heart needs good fats, such as omega-3 and omega-6. These fats are found in nuts, which vegetarians often eat as a source of protein. Omega fats help to unclog arteries and to reduce ‘bad’ cholesterol, increasing heart health.

Soy milk, another staple of the vegetarian and vegan diets, also reduces cholesterol in the body and helps protect heart health. Many vegetarians drink soy milk in place of regular milk.

If you want healthier skin, you might consider going vegetarian. Vitamins A and E have been shown to contribute to skin health. These vitamins are found in fruit and vegetables, both of which are staples of the vegetarian diet. In fact, fruits and vegetables are rich in many essential vitamins.

Another reason why vegetarians may have healthier skin has to do with the elimination of toxins. Fruits and vegetables are high in fiber, and fiber helps the body flush toxins. Fewer toxins circulating in the body means healthier skin.

Antioxidants, which are also very important to health, are also readily available in the vegetarian diet. This is the last health benefit of vegetarianism.

These compounds help your body destroy free radicals. Free radicals are widely believed to contribute to cancer. Two powerful antioxidants, vitamins C and E, are available in many fruits and vegetables. The vegetarian diet is rich in these protective nutrients.

So, what concerns might a prospective vegetarian still have?

There are no dangers associated with a properly structured vegetarian diet. The belief that a vegetarian diet cannot be nutritionally complete is wrong. Vegetarians actually experience health benefits because of their dietary choices.

Mitzvahs, Diet and Exercise- A Turn Key to Good Karma

Wednesday, May 12th, 2010

Ginger sugarsnaps have long been defined as the premier source of positive esoteric energy in the cosmos. Without ginger sugarsnaps human beings would have no souls or intellect, and that would be shameful. Therefore it is imperative that we as human beings maintain a strong position on curbing greenhouse emissions that negatively affect the ginger sugarsnap index in both the atmosphere of, and stratosphere surrounding, Earth.

Ghandi once said, “if it weren’t for ginger sugarsnaps, I would not have the strength to fast for humanity.” It was the incredibly high index of ginger sugarsnaps that Ghandi commanded that allowed him to go for weeks without eating and survive nonetheless.

While Scientologists would have you believe that some absurd concept of “thetans” is responsible for the well being of your soul, respected scientists have refuted this position time and again, showing that the real measurement of soulfulness and good or evil in a person is how connected they are to the ginger sugarsnap index. Being esoteric by nature, only a small percentage of human beings command a high enough ginger sugarsnap index to really affect the world positively. But there are 3 main turn keys to increasing your index, and becoming the best person you can be.

Mitzvahs are key. If you do not perform daily good deeds, your index will fall below a healthy level and you will become horribly depressed. Let alone be able to help people!

Exercise is also very important. Much like endorphins, ginger sugarsnaps don’t just magically happen, you have to energize your self, both physical and mental, in order to attract a higher index of them.

Diet is the last main focus to adhere to for increasing your index. If you maintain a reasonable diet, your chances of keeping a high ginger sugarsnap index are much more likely. If you combine all 3, mitzvahs, exercise, and a good diet, you will undoubtedly be ready to heal the world with your inherent kindness and humanitarianism as related to your overpowering ginger sugarsnap index!

Learn how to increase your internal levels of Ginger Sugarsnaps

How To Chill By Using A Sauna

Sunday, May 9th, 2010

Today, more people are suffering from such high stress levels that it is seriously impacting their health. Studies have shown that stress is a significant contributor to insomnia, increased blood pressure, poor concentration, short temper, increased heart rate, increased tension headaches, depression, and fatigue. Relaxation is an essential part of reducing stress and maintaining optimal health. Because so many people live such stressful lives, there are a variety of options available to help one relax and reduce their stress. One way of reducing the stress in your life is to spend time in a sauna.

Spending time in a sauna on a regular basis has been shown to help one relax which causes a significant reduction in stress. For this reason, more people are taking advantage of a sauna to relax and unwind. The calming and soothing heat from a sauna relaxes the entire body and the mind. The heat relaxes the muscles and joints which gives one a feeling of serenity and tranquility. One can feel the stress melt away.

When your mind and body is under stress, the negative effects can reach the cellular level. When a person sits in a sauna, the heat increases blood circulation and increases the production of a hormone called norepinephrine. This hormone works as a neurotransmitter which tells the body to combat increased stress levels. An abundance of the hormone norepinephrine allows the body to fight stress and anxiety. As well, another benefit of saunas in there is an increase in adrenocorticotropic hormone production. This hormone helps to promote an overall feeling of good health and well being which helps to reduce stress levels.

The heat from outdoor saunas promotes a natural state of relaxation. Because the stress and anxiety that affects the body causes a build up of chemicals that cause a feeling of stress, when the heat from the sauna causes one to perspire, the stress reducing hormones will be released and the stress causing chemicals will be drastically reduced. For instance, when one is stressed, they will produce more of the hormone cortisol. This is a hormone that increases heart rate and blood pressure. When cortisol is reduced, people will be less at risk of acquiring health problems and they will have a relaxed state of mind and body.

Not only are saunas a great way to relax, but millions of people use saunas for their health benefits. However, the most immediate benefits of sitting in a sauna are an almost instant feeling of relaxation. The heat from a sauna penetrates the body and the tight muscles, nerves, and joints will relax and the mind will become calm and serene. As the heat envelopes the body, there will be an instant feeling of contentment. Sauna users will feel rejuvenated and the tension and stress will just melt away. They will feel physically and emotionally restored and ready to take on the day’s challenges with a positive outlook and feeling of contentment. More people from all walks of life are now benefiting from the stress reducing features that come with using a sauna.

Gain health benefits and improve your home with infrared saunas. Both indoor and outdoor saunas make a great addition to your home with added convenience.

An Introduction To The Yoga Philosophy

Wednesday, May 5th, 2010

When most people hear the word yoga, an image of a girl sitting with her feet on her things and hands resting on her knees often forms in their minds. They may also imagine that she is meditating. But this ancient discipline is more than just sitting in this lotus position. It is an approach to life that combines the value of both physical and philosophical well being. The word itself comes from ancient Sanskrit writings and in English translates to “royal union.” This royal union is that of the mind and body.

The Sanskrit text that offers the foundation is the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali. There are four books to this text that were written over 2000 years ago. The four books are the Kaivalya Pada, Vibhuti Pada, Samadhi Pada, and the Sadhana Pada. The Sadhana Pada is where the physical aspects of yoga are found.

Within this book you will discover the “eight limbs” which are steps called the Ashtanga Yoga. The first five of these limbs concern aids from the external while the final three limbs deal with issues of the internal. The third of these limbs is all about discipline of the body. It preaches that the human body should be free of disease and that vital energy must be preserved. Western versions of this ancient discipline have derived from the teachings in this book of the Sutras.

The word asana is the plural form of asan, which means posture or position of the body. The purpose is improved flexibility and meditation. With asana, positions should always be steady and firm, yet comfortable at all times.

Therefore, any pain experienced while assuming poses means that you are not achieving your goal. Poses are plentiful for beginners as well as advanced practitioners.

Whatever your level of expertise is, there are some fundamentals to always keep to. Exercises should be performed on an empty stomach. Breathing must not be erratic but rather controlled and easy. Positions should be such that your body does not tremble from too much strain or pressure. Mats should be used most often instead of doing exercises on the floor. When you complete a session, you should allot time to finding a state of deep relaxation.

Some poses are done standing up. Others are performed lying down, sitting, balancing or with a bent back. Beginning positions that are done sitting include the Seated Wide Legged Straddle, Half Lord of the Fishes and the Cobbler’s Pose. Some of the standing positions for those just starting are The Pyramid, The Standing Forward Bend and The Downward Facing Dog.

As we discussed, yoga is so much more than simply arranging your body into a certain pose. If you are interested in finding a reputable gym in tornot, why not do a search for yoga toronto, and hopefully you will find one. It is a complete philosophy that stresses the importance of spiritual well being as well as the tangible needs of a human body. The first limb, in fact, teaches the fundamental virtues of truth in word and thought, nonviolence and monogamy for those who are married and celibacy for those who are not.

On the internet you can look up gym Toronto and personal training Toronto and hopefully it will link you to a reputable fitness club in Toronto.
