Weight Loss and Law of Attraction

Wednesday, April 21st, 2010

The concept of vibrational frequency in relation to the Law of Attraction can be a confusing subject for many people. Even if they understand that the Law of Attraction will keep sending more situations like those they focus on most often, they struggle to grasp how their vibrational state emits a signal to the universe.

If you have gotten stumped by this mysterious process too, have no fear. It’s easy to understand once you break it down: Basically, every thought you think is already “vibrating” on a certain frequency or wavelength. And each thought will always attract other thoughts that are on the same frequency. So negative or “low” thoughts will keep attracting more negative thoughts. Positive or “high” thoughts will keep attracting more of the same. This usually works gradually – one thought attracts a few more like it, which attract still more like it, and then eventually they build up enough energy that they manifest in physical form.

In relation to weight problems, it’s easy to see the result. You start thinking one little fat thought, and before you know it more negative thoughts about fat are running through your mind. The more you stay focused on them, you start creating exactly that reality on your physical body. Action steps come into play here too – the more negative thoughts you think about your body, the more you will crave fattening “comfort” foods to make yourself feel better, so you eat more calories than you would have normally. As time goes on, you manifest the physical reality of an overweight body.

Now comes the hard part. You decide to lose weight and try to do it purely by physical means (diet, exercise) but it seems unbelievably hard to do. That’s because your thoughts are still resonating on the frequency of being overweight. It’s not impossible to overcome these negative thoughts and still lose weight – but it takes a tremendous amount of willpower and determination.

On the other hand, if you would start by changing your dominant thoughts about your body, you would find the physical parts of the process much easier. As you focus on feeling healthy, strong, fit and active, you begin to resonate on that vibrational frequency – just like a slender person would, and even more thoughts along the same frequency will be attracted to you. If you keep this up over time, you should notice that you no longer desire to eat a lot of “junk food” – or you may naturally eat less than you did before, or you might even start wanting to become more active.

The more you stay focused on these positive, “thin thoughts”, you will continue to transform your mind and body. Occasionally some people may encounter a few challenges like underlying limiting beliefs – but the bottom line is that just changing your dominant focus about your body can go a long way in attracting powerful changes. And as you witness your transformation, you will be convinced that your vibrational frequency is an important aspect of using the Law of Attraction to lose weight.

Health Benefits To Live By

Wednesday, March 17th, 2010

Why should anyone want to live a careful, healthy life? Certainly it’s more fun to be bad! Eat what you want, drink what you like, do what you please, right? But hold on there because the benefits of good health include appreciating all that you are and achieving everything that you can.

Some people realize they need the benefits of good health because of a loved one or a not so good appointment with the doctor. Please remember that poor health will lead to living a bad lifestyle or may turn out to become a health disability. Here are a few facts to help you understand why the benefits of good health should be important to you:

Live Long and (Hopefully) Prosper: That means how long you get to hang around here on Planet Earth. Don’t you want to live to see your grandchildren? For many, longevity is a matter of genetics. Some folks, no matter how much they watch their diets or follow an exercise regimen, will never achieve it. But practicing good health enhances your chances to see your children have children. And getting to play with your own flesh and blood without changing any diapers-now, that’s rewarding!

Endurance, Stamina, Flexibility: However you want to slice it, an important benefit to good health is getting around often and well. Why would you want to become a couch potato? Please remember that those who are in wheelchairs or other constraints find ways to get around and you should as well. You might want to play tennis or other sports. Take a walk around the mall, play golf, tennis. Working toward your goal is very important.

Kick That Habit: We mentioned, oh so briefly, those vices that claim many people. Whether you’re talking about alcohol, drugs, tobacco, overeating, gambling or any other vice, people feel better when they avoid them. One of the benefits of good health is the ability to open your eyes every morning and see the world clearly. People with addictions become so caught up with the substance or habit they are abusing that they fail to recognize their own good qualities. Those who go into recovery often discover whole new skill sets that they never knew they had.

On The Wall; Mirror, Mirror! The benefits of good health includes having clear skin, good posture, string nails and a great smile. It does not matter if you were blessed with good looks or not, having good health will ensure you not only feel better, but look better as well.

Just Think About It: People who sleep right and exercise regularly achieve more at work and during recreation. Many people believe that certain foods or vitamins improve concentration and memory. Those are certainly among the benefits of good health, because who wants to live long if you can’t beat your ten-year-old grandson at Scrabble?

Yes, We Did Say Prosper: If no other reason has convinced you that there are certain benefits of good health, what about a heftier pocketbook? If you follow sound health practices, you’ll spend less money on prescriptions and doctor visits. You will miss fewer sick days at work and might be chosen for that promotion. In fact, many companies are offering wellness plans for their employees, because studies have shown that it’s cheaper to employ healthier people. And by working more days per year, you’ll be able to afford more of life’s little luxuries. Good health is both a blessing and a reward and it’s not beyond your reach.
